Look behind the juice carton for a new approach to a fun ride into your kitchen! How important is it to keep the body moving? What triggers your stress and anxiety? These are the questions that I stumble onto daily. Having walked through days, hours, months of pain with no relief, I was tired of CHOICES to fix my stress, fatigue, joint pain and more.

I wanted to know what was going to be my ongoing lifestyle for optimal health in sleep, energy, digestion, selfcare and relationships! I knew it had to work for me and no one else. It had to be my personal choice of style, not what someone else prescribed or told me worked for them.

What is Functional Health?

Functional Health is daily living the best possible way you envision life should be going for yourself. If you want to live to be 100, how will you accomplish that and stay healthy? What do you have to do to stay in love, be with your grandchildren, create the next masterpiece, make your favorite meal, walk through the forest, cure cancer, sleep through the night, find time to meditate, travel to a town you've never been to, share with your friends and fill in this next blank___________?

“We are what we eat.” This phrase was said centuries ago and is still relevant today. The German philosopher, Ludwig Feuerbach, used this phrase in 1848, during the stress and turmoil of the German Revolution. Whether you believe it or not, none of us want to live with stress, turmoil or anxiety. What Is a Functional Medicine Health Coach?

A Functional Medicine Health Coach is trained to work closely with clients around all of the lifestyle factors (sleep/relaxation, exercise/movement, nutrition, stress and relationships) that influence health. I work to create connection, trust and rapport by using motivational interviewing, character strengths and positive psychology.

The VIA Classification of six virtues and 24 character strengths is the result of a 3-year project reviewing the best thinking on virtue and positive human qualities in philosophy, virtue ethics, moral education, psychology, and theology, spanning 2,500 years. It is the ONLY free, online, and psychometrically valid strengths survey in the world. I truly believe in the power of the VIA Classification.
